THE WEBMASTER (ME)

First thing I must clarify: My surname is pronounced "Rid-dell" not "Riddle".

And I'm 33, as of February 19th 2008. The first Harry book I ever read was "Guns of the South", he was recommended to me by a 2nd-hand book dealer here in New Zealand. I study history myself so it's always very intriguing to read world history happening differently because of one small difference. I can't help thinking "This is terrible, the whole world had changed!"

As mentioned earlier the reason I use space backgrounds is I want to illustrate that Harry's books take place in parallel universes. I get fascinated by the concepts of time and space and enjoy looking at the cosmos. Parallel Universes, as the theory goes, are duplicate universes where what could have happened once has happened.

Those of you who watch Star Trek The Next Generation might recall the episode "Parallels" where things kept changing around Lt. Worf and he could not understand why. It turned out he was constantly being transported from universe to universe without realising. But when he arrived in one where he was the ship's first officer and married to Deanna Troi with several children, he then knew something was amiss!
